Garam Lee is an antagonist-turned-supporting character in The Warrior Returns. She is the Transformation Warrior and a former member of the 9-Warriors until she switched sides to the Reconstructed Government after being given a human body by Marie Stevenson.
Appearance[]
Before Garam became a warrior, she was a normal high school girl with black hair. After she was sent to another world, she was forced to undergo a transformation that turned her human appearance into a towering robot.
Personality[]
Garam was once an ordinary, sociable teenage girl. However, after being transported to the World of Transformation, she underwent a gradual mental decline due to the many battles she was forced to fight, while her body became increasingly robotic. Eventually, she could no longer look at herself in the mirror.
Upon returning home, only to be treated as a monster by the people who once loved her, Garam snapped and decided to destroy mankind in retaliation for their treatment. During her time as a member of the 9-Warriors, she was calm, logical, and cold, acting like an emotionless robot. Similar to Kim Min-Su, she was apathetic and displayed no strong emotions. However, it was not until Mary reminded her of her past that she began to show her true self.
As a result of being saved and given a chance in life by Mary, Lee decides to assist the Heroes Resistance faction to atone for her sins.
History[]
Current Timeline[]
Before the events of her transportation, Garam Lee was originally a normal female middle-schooler who lived a normal life with a happy family, good friends, and the love of her life, she was also an athletic runner.
Following an unknown accident, Garam was summoned to the Transformation World, a world completely inhabited by robots where she was destined to battle against an evil A.I. Unfortunately, the only way for her to strengthen herself in this world was to replace her body parts with prosthetics; thus, ironically, to return home to her fellow humans she had to give up her humanity. This process continued until all that remained of Garam Lee's human body was the left side of her head, which had been encased inside an exo-suit alongside the rest of her artificial body.
After finally putting an end to the evil AI and returning home, however, the people were frightened by her robotic appearance and ran away in terror. Her family, friends, and even her boyfriend were all terrified of her and fled upon seeing her. The military was eventually deployed to destroy her and their battles ended up resulting in her parents being killed in the crossfire. Shortly after her parents' demise, as she was clutching their corpses, Garam Lee was approached by the Resurrection Warrior, Seongjun Lee, who recruited her into the 9-Warriors.
Original Timeline[]
In Chapter 61, it is revealed that Garam was also one of the 9-Warriors of the original timeline from before Seongjun Lee traveled back in time and began altering events, having likely joined the group for the same reason as in the current timeline. At some point, however, she ended up being defeated and killed by the rebel warriors, which in this timeline included Minsu Kim and Seongjun.
Alternate Timelines[]
As Seonjun traveled through multiple timelines, he encountered several alternate versions of Garam. While they mostly met the same fate, being destroyed by Seongjun or another Rebel Warrior, in one timeline Seongjun kept her alive and forced her to transform him into an immortal cyborg like herself; thus putting a stop to his constant time-looping. Unfortunately, the attempt failed as his [Infinite Return] treated him becoming a machine like Garam as dying and automatically activated.
Good End Timeline[]
In one of Seongjun's timelines, he manages to redeem Garam. He was seen experimenting on her body with Marie Stevenson, possibly to transfer her mind into a purely organic one.
Synopsis[]
Spear Warrior's Arrival[]

A year after the warriors' rampage across South Korea, each warriors (excluding Minsu) were given a territory to rule over. After the Rebel Warrior, also known as the Spear Warrior or Jeongsu Park, returned to Earth and killed the Golem and Sea Dragon Warrior, Garam began searching for the Spear Warrior. She eventually found her target when she saw Jeongsu and several other soldiers exit a chopper and enter an abandoned building through her drones.
Reconstruction Government Raid[]
Garam Lee tracked down Jeongsu and the Reconstruction government base with the help of her modernized drone that was connected to her network. She directly asks Seongjun Lee to disable its system with the help of his power.
Not long after Jeongsu settled in the underground shelter meant for the surviving people of South Korea, the warriors invaded them, with Garam having transformed into a large drilling weapon that created a large hole for them to fall through. Once they had landed, Garam requested that Minsu give them orders on what to do next. When the Resurrection Warrior said that Minsi wanted everyone in the underground city to be in despair, she started off launching her buster mode to launch an arsenal of missiles at every direct. Later Kim and his gang went on a killing spree, killing a total of 13,000 of the remaining government officials in under 3 minutes.
Not long after they had decimated the whole city and its defenses, Jeongsu intervened and began to fight Minsu. The destructive fight forced the other warriors to stay out of the way, with Garam commenting that Jeongsu was no small fry.
She was seen hovering at air with Yerin Ma spectating the brutal fight between Kim and park on a epic showdown while the other member got occupied by the reconstruction government troops and Civilian attacking the warrior. When all goes down Garam Lee was attack by a large group of civilian by throwing a Molotov cocktail at her but she wasn't scratch or burned at the slightest.
After Minsu Kim defeated Jeongsu, Yerin Ma, the Magic Warrior, intervened and revealed that she had been working against them the whole time and flew away while caring the Spear Warrior. Garam hacked into the city's communications to tell the other warriors that Yerin Ma was a traitor to their cause and to not let them leave the city. However, the other warriors are unable to do so when they were being held back by the remaining survivors, who were buying time for Jeongsu and Yerin to escape.
After their complete siege of the underground city and completely destroying the Restored Government and its people, Garam uses a holographic device on her hand to inform the other warriors that the President of the United States has officially decided to bombard the location in which the Restored Government was, which was also where the Warriors were still at. Garam admitted that she didn't take the weapons from outer space into account when she hacked the worldwide network.
Before they wait for their deaths by the incoming missiles, she tells Seongjun, the Resurrection Warrior, to notify her regarding the satellite missiles before they die.
The Old Generation[]
Garam Lee began traveling the world with the intent on destroying everything humanity had built. As Garam reached Silicon Valley, she encountered Marie Stevenson, the previous Transformation Warrior. Dismissing Marie's weaponry as antiquated and inferior, she, alongside the Iron Arm Warrior, began fighting Marie and the two seemed to match each other blow for blow. However, while fighting, Marie reached out to Garam, appealing to whatever humanity she had left. This aggravated Garam Lee, who reflected on how humanity treated her when she returned from the other world and how she responded. However, as the fight wore on, Garam Lee began wondering what would happen if she had a second chance. Garam and Marie dealt a devastating blow to each other, which damages both fighters' robotic bodies beyond repair, effectively mortally wounding them. In her final moments, Marie planted a device on Garam Lee's body, which transferred Garam's consciousness to a new robotic body, prepared in Marie Stevenson's likeness. Marie's robot assistant explains that Marie wanted Garam to have a second chance, empathizing with the struggles Garam had to endure but also wanting to show her a different path. The robot also affirmed that while it found humans to be highly illogical, it would be loyal to whatever path Garam chose. The robot also explained that the world believed that she and Marie killed each other in their fight. Garam Lee, having a change of heart, decides to help humanity to atone for her crimes.
Abilities & Powers[]
Being the Transformation Warrior, Garam's body had been modified into a cyborg equipped with various futuristic weapons. However, she effectively lost all of these abilities after being given a new, purely organic body by Marie Stevenson, reducing her to just an ordinary human.
Natural Abilities[]
On the other hand, she retains her intellect and experience with the technology she accumulated in the Transformation World and was also granted command over the various machines developed by Marie. As shown, with her knowledge and resources, Garam is perfectly capable of creating high-tech weaponry and robots capable of even replicating the abilities of other heroes. As shown where she successfully created one capable of duplicating Minsu Kim’s fighting style, movement pattern, and new skill upon transforming into the Earth’s Demon King in order to help train Jeongsu Park.
Due to her knowledge of the technologies from the Transformation World, Garam was shown to have the needed knowledge and skills to repair even the other technologies from other worlds. As shown were she repaired the Belt originally belonging to the Metamorphosis Warrior. Garam has also shown the ability to create specialized devices, having made a self explosive bomb that could be attached the Seongjun Lee’s chest to automatically detonate and kill himself during his fight against Minsu Kim as a Demon Lord in order to still make use of his return skill.
Lastly, Garam also possess the needed technology and knowledge on how to surgically reform and engineer another human being into a cyborg equipped with the same tech as herself. The only limitation is that Garam’s ability to fully and freely alter someone’s body is limited due to the medical equipment and medicine to safely perform the complex surgeries not being present on Earth.
Former Powers & Abilities[]
Garam’s power revolves around the use of technology. She can hack into any modern technology at will and wears a tech-based battle suit. Her suit also gives her the ability to transform into a variety of shapes, including a driller that she used to give the other warriors a path into the underground city and a Fighter Jet. As shown, Garam’s overall firepower was powerful enough to raze entire cities and possibly annihilate an entire continent. And from her fight against Marie Stevenson, she was able to completely overpower her entire armory with the assistance of Iron Arms Warrior Uiho Jeong.
- Decompress 30% Buster Mode: By decompressing her exo-suit to 30% of its full size, Garam can utilize its arsenal of plasma rockets and missiles.
- Decompress 70% Continent Burster Mode: A larger version of the Buster Mode, it gives Garam access to even more firepower, allowing her to single-handedly sink several U.S naval vessels without suffering seemingly any damage herself.
- Decompress 30% Jet Charge Mode: Changes her exo-suit into a fighter jet-like form that allows her to fly through the air at great speeds.
- 50% Decompression Nation Buster Mode: A Mode where Garam unleashes a vast array of weaponry. As shown, this particular armory is powerful enough to overpower Taeil Choi’s robot.
- Decompress 100% Buster Buster Mode: Transforms Garam's exo-suit into its true form, a gigantic monster-like mechanical being with fangs, claws, and a tail. It also possesses two plasma cannons on her back that can be transformed into additional arms should she need them.
