St. Damian Arcadius is a supporting character in The Warrior Returned. He is the Old Generation Faith Hero brought in to stop his current generation counterpart after the 9-Warriors began spreading their influence over the whole world.

Damian Arcadius is known to feel extreme sympathy since he possesses the ability to feel other's emotions whether its negative or positive, and thus, he felt sad for those who commit bad deeds because it has something to do with tragic pasts. He is noted to be pure-hearted, good-will, deterministic, benevolent, helpful, and caring for others.

He appeared to be a young boy of average height with fair skin and bright-looking yellow eyes. He has short Blond hair that appeared to be neck length with a halo on top of it. He wore a neck brace.

1.1 Billions Followers
Damian Arcadius was abandoned by his parents at a young age and is raised by a group of young-beggars that is managed by a cruel and ruthless man named Shah.
All his life is nothing but going out on the streets and begging for money, food, etc. But nobody ever pays attention to him nor the children that follow alongside him. Life during that time hardly knew about religion and was full of corruption from left to right.
Until one night, he along with the other children returns to the camping location that is set up by Hyung, he told his master that he couldn't get anything, which angers the man and in return for his failure, Hyung hits Damian and threatens the boy that if he can't meet his quota until the next morning, the man will definitely kill the innocent boy for his unsuccessful attempt.
Out of fear, Damian runs deep into the woods so he could avoid his fate of dying, only to end up getting run over by a merchant who didn't care about the fact that he just killed a boy, instead, he just told how unlucky Damian is and set off. Damian ends up dying and was transported to another world, where he soon earns the title as The Hero of Faith and returns with the desire is to help the orphans to live a better life, for the children to become benevolent and pure-hearted peoples with absolute good-will like him when they grow up.
During the time when Damian was active as the Hero of Faith, he was known to be helping the poor and starving children, giving them hope to live and soon become an adult with good-will like him. He even appeared to be saving as much lives as possible even when the Black Plague have started to spread across the world killing countless of lives.
At some point in time, Damian absorbs the black death and seals himself within an iron maiden and submerged it into a lake of lava. The iron maiden is known to be located within a church consisted of his loyal believers, and as time passes by, his believers began to tell tales and pass down the secrets of Damian's existence to their next generations of the Vatican state church (possibly so that their next generations would call upon him once more if the world is in need of him.
Old Generation[]
After the tension on what's happening on South Korea and the news of the satellite being hack and causing a massive destruction in the USA, The Vatican state church led by the Pope went to the lava chamber to retrieve the iron maiden which reveal to be the Old Generation hero from the 14th century since they are fully aware of the 9-Warriors's invasion. Furthermore, Damian is also the last Faith Warrior known to be friendly to humans.
After retrieving and managing to revive the sleeping Damian, he is seen in observation room along with some military officials while observing the hopeless battle between the army of Italy against Baek Hana. After monitoring the battle, he decides to step in and help the military as he confronts the fallen Hero of Faith.
Hana was astonished to see another Hero of Faith like her, until Damian, who saw most of Hana's followers, as he shed tears and felt the emotion of the fake Hero of Faith followers and even Hana herself that they are stricken with fear.
However that lead to Hana losing her temper and exclaiming that Damian didn't understand the fear that Hana had felt and suffer over the past years. The battle starts completely as Hana summons a fallen angel to launch a powerful flame to scorch Damian but Damian counter it with his summon, because of Arcadius's immense power in the form of 1.1 Catholics' beliefs.

But the table of turn when Baek Hana have secretly stored some of her believers back at her territory, this later on confuses Damian's believers to why Hana isn't dying, which, it made them have some doubts and soon developed fear that they can't win the battle against the fallen Hero of Faith.
The power of Arcadius starts to dwindle and the power of Hana rises. He notices the belief of people falling and summons Seraphim Michael, a holy being, but this is all for naught when he also becomes a follower of Hana and stabs Arcadius through the abdomen, shocking Arcadius. The battle ends with Arcadius being beheaded and his head falling into the ocean.
He awakes in the yard of a church, he ponders why he was there questioning if it was the afterlife, and sees the name of the church. "I Figli di Damian", upon hearing the name, he promises the children to make a world where they can grow up into adults. He returns to the battlefield and is immediately attacked by Hana's summons, but he preserves his power and with stand any incoming attack with his body, and he later uses his special weapon, Holy spear, Compassion of Damian.
Damian Surviving Followers
Hana orders her people to block the spear, but they instead refuses due to witnessing the sight of good-will faith, her forcefully followers have gained the power to resist against her brainwashing abilities.
She is then impaled by the spear and her fears slowly disappear from her heart, but knowing that it would weaken her power, Hana now suffers from a villainous breakdown exclaiming that Damian should've helped her when she needed him the most, and even admitting that the place she visits is actually a cult, Hana tries her best to charge and tries to kill Damian once more with the hopes that it might make her forceful believers once again sided with her.
But, Damian accepts his fate, embracing and comforting her while letting the spear piercing through himself.
At her last breathe, Hana asks Damian whether if her prayers were heard by him, would she be living a miserable life like that, in responds, he apologizes, saying that if he only consoled her, that maybe something would have changed. He, impaled on the same spear as Hana, locks him and Hana in an iron maiden, locking them in, sealing them for the foreseeable future.
Powers/Abilities[]
Faith Hero[]
As the previous generation, Hero of Faith, Damian’s Powers and Skills primarily draws upon the belief and faith people have in him, allowing him to perform various “Miracles” using them as fuel for his skills and increase his physical abilities. Unlike his successors, Damian’s own type of faith is shown to be the purer kind, where he draws upon the positive feelings of faith and belief his believers have towards him. And unlike Hana Baek and Hans Joseph Belgisch, Damian does not use any form of brainwashing to gather believers, instead using the genuine faith people have towards him or his religion.
- Faith Magic: Like his successors, Damian employs a variety of different techniques and spells using his followers/believers faith as fuel.
Damian Immense Stength
- Immense Strength: Arcadius possesses incredible strength whether he's on full power or weakened. He has been shown cutting Hana's sword and even beheading her numerous times with his bare hands for a long time in battle.
- Honey Generation: Saint Damian was shown to possess the passive ability to generate and create honey from his feet. As shown where he left several footprints of honey in the path where he walked and ran in.
- Teleportation: After being awakened to stop Hana Baek, Saint Damian was shown to have the power to teleport. As shown where he seemingly appeared out of nowhere in the military command center of the forces fighting Hana and upon seeing the screen of Hana's location and running towards it, he was able to instantly transport himself to her location and appear before her.
- Wings: Like Hana, Damian is able to fly by manifesting several wings. As noted by Hana, the number wings themselves are indicators of the power and number of followers a Faith Warrior currently has.
- Catholic Believers: Arcadius has power depending on the amount of catholic believers on Earth since most of Damian follower already pass away and only left a long-standing orphanage praying for Damian. This means that he has the power of 1.1 billion people around the world. However, if these people lose faith in him, this effects his power, which weakens him immensely when fighting Baek Hana.
- Summons: Arcadius can summon holy beings like angels. These summons come at a cost however of the faith of his people. The beings he can summons are as follows as of chapter 30;
- Throne Angel Titaniel: A Angel wearing a medival, full body armor wielding a huge shield. This summoned angel possess powerful defensive power. Having shielded Damian from Hana Baek’s Fallen Angel Mirtaniel attack.
- Seraphim Michael: Using the combined faith of over a 100 Million believers, Damian can summon the seraphim class angel Michael. Due to the sheer number of faith required to summon, Michael is the most powerful angel Damian can summon. As stated by him, Michael possess the ability to completely eradicate the existence of being using the flames of his sword, with Damian believing that it could completely negate the healing magic of Hana Baek and permanently kill her.
- Cherubim Samatiel: A powerful Angel that possess the ability to release a blast of energy at her designated target using her horn. As shown, while powered by the faith of the entirety of the believers of the catholic faith, this attack was powerful enough to overpower Hana Baek’s defeneses.
- Summons: Arcadius can summon holy beings like angels. These summons come at a cost however of the faith of his people. The beings he can summons are as follows as of chapter 30;
- Compassion of Damian: A holy spear that harnesses the power of those who were originally touched by his compassion. This spear has been empowered by the numerous generations of faith in him. This spear relieves the worries and fears of the attacked.
- Iron Maiden: As shown, Damian possess the ability to summon a iron spiked iron maiden in order to seal himself and another person/being/object. As stated by the Pope, during the time of the Black Plague, Damian sealed himself inside the Iron Maiden alongside the Plague Hero of his generation in order put an end to the Black Plague he started and spread and save the lives of the people of the world from that age. Later, Damian himself would also use this skill to stop and seal Hana Baek alongside himself. In one of the previous timelines created by Seongjun Lee, Saint Damian also attempted to use this power to put a stop to his returns, but failed as the sealing was recognized by his return ability as him dying.
