Sir Pendragon was a minor character in The Warrior Returns. He was the 20th-century Crystal Warrior and an Allied soldier during World War II, being instrumental in defeating Hans Joseph Belgisch, the true mastermind behind the conflict.
Appearance[]
Pendragon was a towering, muscular man with black hair and dark orange eyes. He wore a suit of armor with lion-shaped pauldrons and a lion-shaped chest piece, each one containing amber jewels as eyes and inside their mouth. He has a loincloth adorned with the England coat of arms.
Personality[]
True to his title, Sir Pendragon was a noble and patriotic man who would go further and beyond for his nation, even fighting with foreign heroes to subdue a greater enemy. He is also pragmatic and patriotic towards his home country, as shown where he choose to seal the German Faith Hero of his time , the most dangerous and powerful Hero of his generation, and handing over the key to said prison to the princess of the UK in order for her to use him as a political tool in the new global political structure of the world after the war, as he knew the Americans would become the larger political powerhouse after World War 2.
History[]
World War II[]
During the last stages of the war, the Glacial Hero, Transformation Hero and Crystal Hero cornered Belgisch after the Sword and Golem Heroes, Siegfried and Jonas, were defeated. After an intense battle, Belgisch was successfully sealed by the Crystal Hero in a gigantic amber crystal.
However, Sir Pendragon was fatally wounded. Before he succumbed to his injuries, Marie brings him back to England and he entrusts the key to opening the seal to the future Queen of England, in the hopes that it can be used as a bargaining chip for postwar negotiations or to protect the British Empire.
Power and Abilities[]
Given his title as the Crystal Hero, Sir Pendragon may have crystal-based abilities.
Sealing[]
As shown, Sir Pendragon possessed the ability to encase his opponents inside an amber crystal. Once trapped inside, the victim is completely sealed, not being able to move or age inside the crystal. Sir Pendragon was noted to have used this ability to capture Hans Joseph Belgisch during the end of World War II.
The sealing itself can be undone using a key.
Trivia[]
- His name is a possible reference to King Arthur.
- There is no Crystal Warrior within the current generation of Warriors, implying that, like the Glacial Warrior, Sir Pendragon's successor failed in quelling the Crystal World's Demon Lord.
